Bag Tag Basics
The primary aim of our annual Bag Tags is to foster camaraderie and healthy competition within our club. It's all about friendly rivalry and good times on the course.
All current, complete club members are due an annual bag tag. Unlike your member number, annual tag numbers are not assigned, and are intended to be traded among members as the result of rounds played together.
If you haven’t collected one for the season, stop by Far From Par Disc Golf to get yours!
Tags are typically exchanged in one of two formats, organized tag rounds or individual challenges.
Organized Tag Rounds
When larger groups of players are fielded, organized tag rounds are a great way to get tags circulating. Tags are throw in and played for during Blaine Spring League (an eight-week PDGA-Sanctioned League starting April 1) and during Thursday night Tag Rounds at Bellis Fairways during the spring and summer.
During organized rounds, tags are redistributed following the round based on scores.
Individual Challenges
Anyone can throw down an individual or small group challenge among your peers. Be a good sport, don’t hide tags or decline challenges. Tags are meant to be traded!
During individual or small group challenges, trade tags accordingly with the best round score earning the lowest available tag number.
In the event of ties:
Now, in the rare event of a tie, the holder of the lower tag entering the match earns the lower number. If you're up for it, you can go sudden death and settle things on the course.
